The International Violin Competition of Indianapolis (IVCI) returns to the Circle City September 5-21, 2014. IVCI, an ACG client since 2003, hosts this once every four-year event, which draws music lovers from around the globe. This 9th Quadrennial Competition is regarded as one of the most respected music competitions in the world and will feature 40 violinists from 13 countries, selected from an initial pool of 179 applicants.
The first IVCI competition was held in 1982 and it has since gained a stellar international reputation for artistic quality, integrity, and the care of its participants and jurors. Founded to discover major violin talent and nurture their careers, IVCI’s Laureates have gone on to become some of the most sought-after soloists, concertmasters and chamber musicians on the concert scene today.
ACG has offered audit, tax and consulting services to IVCI and has worked with its management and finance committees to ensure the Organization has proper oversight in the financial area. ACG has been honored to have such a long-standing relationship with a well-respected and dynamic not-for-profit in the arts community. The IVCI team works tirelessly to ensure world class events take place each year.
“Our decade-long partnership with ACG is a testament to the outstanding work which they continuously provide for the IVCI. No matter what we need, they are always prompt in providing counsel, and we have valued our relationship tremendously,” stated Executive Director Glen Kwok.
The IVCI also sponsors an annual concert series featuring former Laureates of the Competition and special guest artists. In addition, they have multiple educational outreach activities including Come to the Competition, International Violinists in the Schools and master classes for schools and youth orchestras.
